IYANW Grantmaking Process
Each year the IYANW board will set a grants budget. Availability of funds may vary from year to year depending on the number and size of membership and donations IYANW receives and the number and size of grants awarded.
The grantmaking committee is a small group of volunteers from our yoga community.
Grants are awarded four times yearly. Deadlines for applying are: March 31, June 30, September 30, and December 31. Please note that your application for both grant programs must arrive 30 days before the date of the event you hope to attend to give the grants committee time to review your application. Review deadline schedule here.
Grants will be reviewed and awarded by a blind process (the committee members will not know
the names or locations of applicants).
If multiple candidates are eligible, the recipients will be chosen based on alignment with the IYANW mission to promote the art, science and philosophy of yoga according to B.K.S. Iyengar throughout the region, as well as consideration of financial need and available IYANW grant funds.
